Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 June 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how SIPlyy ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit siplyy.pages.dev (the "Website"). By using the Website, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. We are committed to being transparent about data practices and to minimising data collection to the extent possible.

SIPlyy is operated by Bhanuprakash Sardesai from Hubli, Karnataka, India. If you have any questions about this Policy or our data practices, please contact us at brssardesai@gmail.com or +91-9108752716. We respond to all privacy-related enquiries within 7 working days.

1. Information we collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to operate the Website and improve our content. We categorise the information we collect as follows:

1.1 Information you provide directly

When you contact us via email, phone, or any contact form on the Website, you may share your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of your message. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

1.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) and our analytics tools (if enabled) may collect the following information automatically:

  • IP address (used for security, fraud prevention, and approximate geographic location)
  • Browser type, version, and language
  • Operating system and device type
  • Pages visited, referring URL, and time spent on each page
  • Date and time of visit

This information is used in aggregate to understand how the Website is used and to improve content and performance. We do not link this information to your identity unless you explicitly provide your identity through a contact form.

1.3 Information we DO NOT collect

It is important to be explicit about what we do not collect:

  • Calculator inputs — every calculator on this Website runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The amounts, rates, and durations you enter never leave your device. We have no server-side processing of calculator inputs.
  • Account credentials — we do not have user accounts, so we do not collect usernames, passwords, or any authentication data.
  • Financial information — we do not ask for and do not collect information about your specific investments, bank accounts, or income.
  • Sensitive personal data — we do not collect Aadhaar numbers, PAN numbers, or any other sensitive personal data covered under Indian law.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect for the following specific purposes:

  • Responding to enquiries — to reply to your emails, calls, and contact form submissions.
  • Website improvement — to understand which pages are popular, which calculators are used most, and where users encounter errors, so we can improve the Website.
  • Security and fraud prevention — to detect and prevent abuse, scraping, or attacks on the Website.
  • Legal compliance — to comply with applicable Indian laws and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
  • Display advertising — if and when we enable display advertising (such as Google AdSense), ads may use cookies to serve relevant ads. See Section 5 for details.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We do not use your information for purposes other than those listed above without your explicit consent.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

The Website uses a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential cookies — required for the Website to function (e.g., remembering your privacy preferences). These cannot be disabled if you wish to use the Website.
  • Analytics cookies — if enabled, used to collect aggregate usage statistics. You can disable these through your browser settings.
  • Advertising cookies — if and when display advertising is enabled, advertising partners (such as Google) may set cookies to serve personalised ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ads Settings.

Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions. Disabling cookies may affect some Website functionality.

4. Third-party services

The Website uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  • Cloudflare Pages — hosting and content delivery. Cloudflare may collect server logs including IP addresses for security and performance. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Fonts — used to load typography. Google may receive your IP address when fonts are requested. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google AdSense (if enabled) — display advertising. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. See Google's ad technologies policy.

We do not control the data practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

5. Display advertising

The Website may display ads served by Google AdSense or similar advertising networks. These ads may use cookies to serve ads based on your visit to this Website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info.

We do not control which specific ads are shown, and we do not share any personal information about you with advertisers. Advertisers receive only aggregate, anonymised data about ad performance.

6. Data retention

We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:

  • Contact enquiries — retained for up to 2 years after our last correspondence, then deleted.
  • Server logs — retained for up to 90 days by our hosting provider for security and debugging, then automatically deleted.
  • Analytics data — retained in aggregate for up to 26 months, then automatically aggregated further.

7. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) of India, you have certain rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access — you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to correction — you can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Right to erasure — you can request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Right to grievance redressal — you can file a grievance with our Grievance Officer (contact details below).

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at brssardesai@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Rights Request". We will respond within 30 days.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
